Journalist Why "BO
VOYAGES"?
Brahim
OUAKHIR. Ours is an entirely family-run
business, and it's a happy coincidence that
my initials sound to French ears like "beau"
- a sort of guarantee of a beautiful trip!
JPJ When was BO
VOYAGES founded?
B.O.
We started out in 1989, with the aim of providing
a complete travel service, catering for incoming
visitors and for holidays outside Morocco.
Current trends have made the import sector by
far the busier of the two. Our main goal is
to offer visitors a welcome in keeping with
their desires and budgets. We get them excited
about the beauties of Morocco and provide information
on the cultural, social and economic resources
our country has to offer.

J How is your firm
structured?
B.O.
We have about thirty permanent staff, of whom
20 work in our Agadir offices, sharing the delicate
tasks of welcoming visitors (individuals and
groups), traffic and... multilingual book-keeping.
Our employees all have concrete experience of
foreign countries. Their job is to ensure that
every precious minute of the visitor's stay
is a complete success. We insist, for example,
that all members of a group speak the same language.
J How do you transport
your customers?
B.O.
In parallel with BO VOYAGES, we have created
another family business devoted to surface transport,
GAMA TOURS,
which has a fleet of air-conditioned mini-buses,

mini-coaches and coaches. We are therefore able
to keep track of the flow of visitors and guarantee
them the greatest possible comfort and flexibility.
J Who accompanies
your customers?
B.O.
We host individuals and groups from all over
the world, in addition to organising "made-to-measure"
holidays. So we need first class guides who
master as many languages as possible. All our
guides are officially registered, of course.
They are selected on the basis of their general
culture, hospitable nature and sense of initiative.
The same is true of the reception staff, who
deal directly with practical details in the
hotels which accommodate our customers.

J Agnès Ouakhir,
you are responsible for managing BO VOYAGES. Is
it difficult to have to be constantly adapting
to new cultures?
A.O. This doesn't pose any problems as
we know our partners well. Over the years, we
have built up a network of companies with whom
we collaborate in perfect harmony. In complex
international operations, it is essential to
work in a climate of mutual confidence and respect.
So we rely on a certain number of partners with
whom we know we can work perfectly, for the
greatest benefit of the customer.
